Gravity Group is proud to announce their partnership With Morewood Bikes as a bicycle supplier and co-title sponsors along with Kenda Tires in their World Cup Team. Australians Nathan Rennie, Mitchell Delfs will represent Team Kenda Morewood in 2009.
Nathan Rennie (27), is an ex-all UCI Elite World Cup Downhill Champion and Junior World Champion. He is also a frequent World Cup podium visitor. Rennie has been on several World Cup podiums, including 2nd at the 7th World Cup in Canberra, Australia. Nathan Rennie is certain to be a favourite at the 2009 UCI World Championships, Canberra, Australia. Rennie says that he is extremely happy to be where he is in 2009. I’m especially glad to work with new people as well as people I know. Everything so far has been amazing and the speed at which things have moved. My knee is feeling good and I am still training. It will soon be 100%. It is my belief that the changes are for the good of all and I am eager to race again.
Nathan’s compatriot Mitchell Delfs (AUS), is still one the most promising young players on the World Cup circuit. Mitch was able to take part in the 2008 full World Cup season after a strong performance at the 2007 World Cup Mont-Sainte-Anne in Canada. Mitch made great progress throughout the season and was able to finish the season with two top-10 World Cup finishes. Mitchell Delfs says, « I am thrilled to be back working with Gravity Group for the 2009 season. » It’s going to be a thrilling year with a great bike, and factory support. My riding will improve with a fast new teammate like Nathan Rennie.
In the next season, Team Kenda Morewood will choose the Morewood Makulu as their downhill weapon. Nathan and Mitch will also be using the Mbuzi and Shova for off-season training and select events.
